Glad Påsk

We were up in wonderful Trysil again this year for Easter with Christer, Ingvor, Annica, and Leo. When we got there it was snowing and there was more snow on the ground then there then any of the other times we were up there this year, a bit crazy! It was some kind of record snow for that time of year. It continued to snow on Friday. Finally on Saturday we had a beautiful day with lots of sun. It was so nice to be outside. I spent some time in the afternoon sitting outside with a blanket in the sun reading, my favorite.

Before we left on Sunday Sven and I decided to make a snow cave since I had never built on before and Sven just had to fix that. So we built a big cave, it was so much fun with a slide and everything! I was laughing a lot like a little kid. We decided to head home early since it was not sunny and got stuff in traffic with everyone else from Trysil doing the same thing. But Sven and Leo took us on a backroad adventure to get home so thankfully after the first hour we did not hit any more traffic!

With this trip it ended our supper Trysil year. Sven skied 26 days this year, I came in at 23 days. It was a bit sad driving home this time as it will be the last time we will be driving home from Trysil, we love it there!!

Spring is here!!

Finally Spring has officially come to Göteborg yesterday. It all works a bit different in Sweden where Spring isn't just a day on the calendar but based on actual weather. Spring is when the average temperature over the last 10 days is over freezing, 0c (32f). I will say that I am very, very excited about this. Of coarse this doesn't mean it is warm. It has been in the upper 30s and low 40s and rainy with a bit of snow most of this past week. I'm looking forward to the sun coming out so that all of the snow melts and everything can start to turn green again ... but Spring is here!!!!

Couple days in Stockholm

I went up to Stockholm on Tuesday this week to visit Sven while he is up there working on a project. The night I got there we went to see the ballet, which was wonderful. They still perform in the old beautiful Opera house. They have an area where the King and Queen sit when they are there, pretty cool to see. Yesterday I spent the day walking around the city, enjoying the sites and doing some shopping. We then met some friends for a nice dinner in a cute little French restaurant where the cook came out to talk with us, pretty fun.

Came back this morning on the X2000 to a rainy snow. It kinda reminds me of Virginia weather. Spring still isn't hear but me and the rest of the Swedes are waiting for it!!
